SM: So far I do not possess one. Right now I'm happily sporting our Tourbillon Earth and building my collection of Armin Stroms. I believe part of the passion of the watch industry is to constantly seek new innovations and designs.
You may have not have heard of Kentex watches. If you haven't, don't blame any lack of your paying attention to watch brands. The Japanese company is rare in the Western world, and probably not exactly common in the East either. What you should know is that for the most part their watches offer excellent value for the money, with an impressive level of not only quality but features. Let's look at the new for 2013 version of the Kentex Marineman.Read more ›
So what is special about the tourbillon in the Master Ultra-Thin Minute Repeater Flying Tourbillon? For one thing it is very thin. As a flying tourbillon, it has done something no one else has done before. They have been able to engineer out much of the tourbillon case top and flip over the balance wheel. The vast majority of balance wheels have a hairspring that is located under the oscillating wheel. This watch has succeeded in putting the hairspring on the top. Not only that, but they've designed it into a flying tourbillon.
Bulova also went with an interesting configuration when it comes to how they're registering the time, both normal and chronograph. Let's start with the regular time telling. Normally on a chronograph, we'll have a sub-seconds readout somewhere. This Bulova Precisionist Champlain model stands out as actually having a sweep seconds hand so you can see the watch is running. But don't worry, you won't have to worry about reading one of the four subdials to read the chrono seconds.Read more ›
When you look at surviving Breguet pocket watches from the days of Abraham-Louis Breguet himself, this fact becomes incredibly obvious. Produced in a time before electricity, many original Breguet pocket watches appear to have been produced just a few years ago. The perfection of the cases, the crispness of the dials, and the technology employed is outstanding, and there is no question that every available ounce of effort was put into their design and construction. Today we look at an antique original Breuget pocket watch, as well as two modern pocket watches they produce in small numbers that of course are inspired by the past.
6. Maitres du Temps Chapter One Transparence Watches Hands-On
Inside the watch is a rather complicated (and attractive looking) Swiss-made movement that was developed by Mr. Mojon and his team at Chronode. The movement is manually wound with 65 hours of power reserve and operates at 3Hz. It's also comprised of 415 parts, many of which are hand finished in traditional Swiss fine watch making fashion. Breva watches are a unique breed of ultra-luxury timepieces for those who enjoy a more active life and want a mechanical back-up to their electronic instruments. Breva clearly envisions that most people wearing the Genie 02 Terra will do so skiing, though I imagine it would also make a good aviation watch as well. The Breva Genie 02 Terra watch will be limited to just 55 pieces total, with a price of 2,000. breva-watch.comRead more ›
In addition to beautiful mechanics, Voutilainen watches are all about decoration - and at that he excels. You may not have noticed it but the dial is a small city of various decorative styles. The dial itself has three distinct styles of machine guilloche engraving and is solid sterling silver. The outer engraved ring has a Clos du Paris style motif, the middle ring has more elongated diamond-style shapes, and the subsidiary seconds dial is engraved with a checkerboard style pattern. This not only significantly increases the complexity of the dial, but also the value to collectors. There is also the matter of the hand-engraved sun and moon sections (in two different colors no less) for the GMT indicator on the upper sub dial. An interesting note about the GMT function is that to change the GMT time (by one hour increments) the user simply needs to press the crown in.

With the Tissot Heritage Navigator, there's no mistaking that this is a watch that can fit in well for a dressier situation - you've got a high-polish bezel and indices, a dark brown (and slightly shiny) leather strap (with a high-polish deployant), and the feature that every dress piece should have - a slender profile. In the Heritage Navigator, Tissot managed to keep the 43mm steel case to under 10mm thick (9.62mm, to be precise). This may not be the thinnest production watch, but it's an amazing measurement, especially considering the fact that it's housing an automatic movement.
24k gold is used for the entirely of the case, save for the screws and some detailing, and makes up a new case design released by Bulova for 2014 that they call the Percheron. "You have no idea how difficult it is find available names for watches" Bulova explained to me. I have no doubt. It is common practice for companies of all types of register an "intent to use" for a future trademark. Percheron might be a difficult to remember name, but it a term that applied to a particular French breed of horse–so it does have an equestrian angle. Bulova will produce other Percheron watches of course, and the 24k gold model will simply sit at the top of the ladder, being a particularly unique model.Read more ›

The watch itself isn't bad and the feature to alter the color of the stones is interesting to say the least. I think it is a fun idea, and I hope it is available in watches other than these on the mink strap. I am not entirely familiar with Fendi watches for women–my apologies.
Sebastien Chaulmontet: I am a chronograph collector and I have always been attracted to Angelus as it was a real manufacture. This watch is particularly rare and a must-have for any chronograph collector.

First, a note about that phrase, Office Diver. I'm coining that to classify a watch that, while it's ostensibly a dive watch (and could be used as such), it's intended for on-land use. Yes, you could call it a desk diver, but I think that has some not-so-great connotations of its own. And, frankly, the rose gold finish on our sample just seemed to call out for a nicer sobriquet.
Zen L. from Bangkok, Thailand asks:
The three versions span an ivory dial model with a polished platinum case called the "Platino" which is limited to 50 units (PAM518), a brown dial model with an 18 ct polished red gold case called the "Oro Rosso" (PAM519) and a black dial model with an 18 ct polished white gold case called the "Oro Bianco" (PAM520). The latter two models are limited to 100 units and all models come on an alligator strap with matching tang buckle.
